"If there is a Christian then what is he doing?"

If you are finding it hard to understand the reason for this blog, then probably you are new to my world. A world filled with these wonderful people, with wonderful Christian names, but their lives are anything but Christian. A world where Christianity is screamed out from microphones, than from lives. A world that does not know where it is headed.
33% of the people on planet earth claim to be Christians. If all these people were actually Christ’s followers then we would not need songs like ‘Heal the world’. The so called ‘Leader of the nations’, America, which once praised ‘God’ in everything, from their national anthem to their currency, has not only unanimously decided to take ‘Christ’ out of ‘Christmas’, but also it has lost sight of the ‘God’ it use to believe in and worship.
If you think that there is nothing much we can do about America. Then let’s come back to the Indian Christian. Try reading the news paper for a week and make a note of the articles were Christian names are mentioned. 70% of the time we would find an “Abraham” or a “Joseph” or even for that matter a “Paul” doing things that we can’t discuss with our families while having dinner.
Being 1/3rd of the world’s population comes with its responsibilities. Especially if you claim to be a follower of Christ it is literally like a ‘carrying your cross’. The simple reason being, Christ preached “Love your neighbour”, He preached “Do not lust with your eyes”, He preached “The little you do for the least”, He preached hope, love and a better tomorrow. But somehow today the world see’s none of this when it sees a Christian.
Jesus said “You would do things greater than this after I am gone”, but this is the question I ask “Where are those greater things?” Somewhere we have lost sight of what God had in mind for us. Somewhere we have slipped away. Somewhere we have made the ‘Healer of the lame’ look ‘Lame’. Somewhere we have made ‘The God of hope’ look like ‘The God of the Hopeless’.
Instead of ‘Being the difference’ we have become ‘The similarity’. Instead of ‘transforming’ we have ‘conformed’; sometimes conformed to the extent of living below the ‘moral’ standards of the world. There are things the world rates as ‘immoral’, things that society calls ‘bad’, but still some of us would go ahead and do it. We forget that our every action is being taken as the action of Christ, our every word is being taken as the words of Christ, and our every thought is being equalled to His. We forget we are disgracing ‘The God of grace’, and dishonouring ‘The God of honour’.
Surely we Christians are a mess, but instead of lurking in our misery, it is important we ask ourselves this, “Is it too late to get out of this mess?” only then can we get to the good part “No we are not!!” Jesus always used the right words; He said “Follow me!!” and not “Follow them!!” Christianity is not about us, but it is about Him. All we have to do is follow Him. Even if a few of us, probably one in every school, one in every college, one in every office and one in every place we can think of decide to do follow Him, like we mean it. Probably then the world would finally have a “God of Hope” and probably then they would say “If there is a Christian then He is following Christ”.
THE WORLD IS ONLY ABLE TO SEE THE JESUS WE SHOW ....

"You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men. "
ReplyDeleteMost of the Christians are like the salt which has lost the saltiness and are being trampled under the foot of men ....
We don't realize the fact that God has called Us to be in count of the 4 % of Christians in the world ,to do his work to prove that God is capable of doing the most from the least .....
